See the thinking behind the marks

You can see whether your child is moving forward, and when a person needs to step in.

More than marks: how deeply your child understands each topic, what is going well, and what needs a person. No need to sit beside them to know.

What a parent sees

Understanding by kind of thinking, topic by topic, with no ranks and no comparisons.

What you see

For each of your children, one screen. Alerts appear inside your SelfEnabler app.

  • How much of each subject they have covered.
  • How deeply they understand it, on the ladder from remembering to creating.
  • A "Needs a person" list: a topic they are stuck on, or a pause in their study.
  • A "Going well" list: what they can now do.
  • A note in the app if a course is falling well behind.

Needs a person

  • Stuck on fractions after another try
  • Has not studied for a few days

Going well

  • Can now explain photosynthesis in her own words
  • Finished all of this week's maths

Illustrative. Your screen shows your own child's lessons.

Memorising, or truly understanding?

A score of 70% can mean a child who understands most things a little, or one who understands some things deeply. SelfEnabler shows you which, topic by topic, so the next hour of study goes where it matters. It matters in board exams too. In CBSE's 2026–27 design for the Class 10 Science paper, for example, 30% is for applying ideas and 20% for analysing, evaluating and creating (CBSE Science curriculum, 2026–27).

How the ladder of thinking works

When your child is stuck

  1. AI Guru, at that moment

Your child does not wait for tomorrow or run to a tutor. AI Guru explains the step again, makes them retry and gives remedials, right when they are stuck.

  2. A different way in

If the basics are not there yet, the lecture pauses and a recovery lesson is built from your child's own answers, teaching the idea differently.

  3. 3AM Friend, if it still has not clicked

A vetted human tutor, one to one, in a private room, whenever one is online.

  4. You know at the same moment

The topic appears on your "Needs a person" list at the same moment, with the reason, so you know where to step in.

  5. Gentle nudges

If your child stops studying for a while, they get a friendly nudge to pick up where they left off.

These checks help catch difficulty early. They reduce risk; they are not a promise that nothing is ever missed.

When your child needs a person, not an AI

With 3AM Friend, your child can book a human tutor for one-to-one help, in a private room with a shared whiteboard that only they and the tutor can enter. Our senior content team checks every tutor: an identity (ID) check and a signed child-safety (POCSO) declaration. Help is there whenever a tutor is online; if no one is, your child is told so. No check removes every risk, but these lower it.

About 3AM Friend

AI and privacy, safe by design

  • A parent or guardian creates your child's account and gives consent for them.
  • AI Guru explains only from SelfEnabler's approved lessons for the topic your child is studying, not from the open internet.
  • It is told to say "I don't know" rather than invent an answer. If the AI service is down, it says so.
  • Your child's record is private. You see only your own child, never classmates or comparisons.
  • Marking happens on our servers, so no score can be changed in the browser.
  • This website uses no analytics or tracking cookies.

What to expect in the first weeks

  1. Week 1

Your child does a few lectures. Each starts with a question, and the Dynamic Assessment shapes their notes.

  2. Weeks 2 and 3

You start to see which topics are secure and which need practice.

  3. After a month

A clearer picture of how deeply your child understands each subject, and where help has stepped in.

Marks change more slowly than understanding. Look first for steadier work and clearer explanations.

Questions parents ask

Will I get alerts? On WhatsApp?

Alerts appear only inside your SelfEnabler app, on your child's "Needs a person" list. They are not sent by WhatsApp, SMS or email.

Can I see more than one child?

Yes. You see each of your own children separately.

Does my child see how they compare with others?

No. There are no ranks and no comparisons. Your child reads what they can do, in plain words; you see the detail.

Is AI safe for my child?

AI Guru explains only from SelfEnabler's approved lessons for the topic your child is studying. It is told to say plainly when it does not know, and if the AI service is down it says so instead of showing a made-up reply. Like any AI, it can still make mistakes.

How much screen time does it take?

A lecture has no fixed length: it depends on the topic. A lecture is a short, set sequence: a question, study material, a video, a Dynamic Assessment, personalised notes and a reflection. Then it ends. There is no feed and no target for minutes spent. You and your child decide how many lessons a day. India's paediatricians (IAP, 2022) advise that children aged 10 to 18 balance screens with at least an hour of outdoor activity and 8 to 9 hours of sleep, and that most of their screen time be for learning.

Will my child's marks improve?

We will not promise marks; no honest learning service can. Each step of a lesson uses a method research shows helps people learn, and board papers increasingly reward using ideas, not only recalling them; CBSE's 2026–27 papers are one example. Understanding usually moves first, and marks follow more slowly.

We already have tuition. Do we need this?

Keep the tuition. SelfEnabler works alongside it and shows which topics your child can use and which they have only memorised, so the tuition hour goes where it is needed.

Can SelfEnabler tell if my child has a learning difficulty?

No. SelfEnabler shows where your child is stuck in a topic. It does not diagnose learning difficulties, stress or anything else. If you are worried, talk to your child's school or a paediatrician.

Who can see my child's data?

You, for your own child. A parent sees only their own child, never classmates. A parent or guardian creates the account and gives consent. Our Safety and privacy page explains more.

In which language will my child learn?

In their board's own language: the medium your child studies in, as their board offers it. AI Guru explains in it too, using the words the textbook and board paper use.
